WANDER is a project that aspires to make people aware of their own sense of direction. Due to technological developments during the past few decades, people have plenty of means to find their way: car navigation, smartphone apps, etc. Simply enter your destination and you are shown several ways to get from point A to point B. Lost? Just add ‘current location’ and your destination and the navigational system shows you where to go.

The project is supported by WANDER, a faulty compass that shows the way to ‘destination unknown’. The user gives control over to the compass, meaning the compass decides where to go. ‘Not all those who wander are lost.’ – J.R.R. Tolkien.
